Archery

Archery is the art, sport, practice, or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat. In modern times, it is mainly a competitive sport and recreational activity.

Rollar Skating

Roller skating is the traveling on surfaces with roller skates. It is a form of recreational activity as well as a sport, and can also be a form of transportation.Skates generally come in three basic varieties: quad roller skates, inline skates or blades and tri-skates.

Fencing

Fencing is a group of three related combat sports. The three disciplines in modern fencing are the foil, the épée, and the sabre winning points are made through the weapon's contact with an opponent. Fencing was one of the first sports to be played in the Olympics.

Wushu

Wushu or Chinese Kungfu, is a hard and soft and complete martial art, as well as a full-contact sport. It has a long history in reference to Chinese martial arts. It was developed in 1949 in an effort to standardize the practice of traditional Chinese martial arts

Karate

Karate is now predominantly a striking art using punching, kicking, knee strikes, elbow strikes and open-hand techniques such as knife-hands, spear-hands and palm-heel strikes. Historically, and in some modern styles, grappling, throws, joint locks, restraints and vital-point strikes are also taught.

Kungfu

In China, it refers to any study, learning, or practice that requires patience, energy, and time to complete. In its original meaning, kung fu can refer to any discipline or skill achieved through hard work and practice, not necessarily martial arts.

Judo

Judo is generally categorized as a modern martial art, which has since evolved into a combat and Olympic sport.Judo's most prominent feature is its competitive element, where the objective is to either throw or take down an opponent to the ground.

Kick Boxing

Kickboxing is a group of stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching, historically developed from karate mixed with boxing. Kickboxing is practiced for self-defence, general fitness, or as a contact sport.kickboxing has contributed to the emergence of mixed martial arts.

Painting

Painting is the practice of applying paint, pigment, color or other medium to a solid surface. The medium is commonly applied to the base with a brush, but other implements, such as knives, sponges, and airbrushes, can be used. The final work is also called a painting.

Football

Football is a family of team sports that involve, to varying degrees, kicking a ball to score a goal. Sports commonly called football include association football gridiron football Australian rules football; rugby football and Gaelic football.

Basketball

Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball through the defender's hoop while preventing the opposing team.

Volleyball

Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games .

Dance

Students are taught the diverse forms of the classical Bharatha Natyam and also the various folk forms that flourish in different parts of India with distinct cultural and aesthetic appeals. We aim to bring together classically-trained dancers and at the same time encourage the rich folk culture of our country. The students are exposed to several classical dance forms in the inter-house dance competitions conducted in the school.

Campus Publications

Selected members of staff and students of senior classes work each year as Members of the Editorial Board to help bring out the School many publications, each with a different focus, but all of which mirror the life on campus. JOSEPHITES, the school magazine, is the yearbook of the students and staff about things of interest, upcoming events and all other activities in the school.

Bands

The school has separate and independent Bands and they perform their demonstrations on the Special Day celebrations and other important functions in the School.

Kho Kho

Kho Kho is a popular tag game invented in Maharashtra, India. It is played by teams of 12 nominated players out of fifteen, of which nine enter the field who sit on their knees, and 3 extra who try to avoid being touched by members of the opposing team.
